Jackson 19 Weeks Old

Jackson is still our happy boy : ) He is learning to fall asleep on his own so after a few (long) minutes of crying or fussing, he'll fall asleep which results in 3 naps a day and a great nights sleep (usually). What a difference it makes in life to have a baby that's old enough to be on some semblance of a schedule! Of course he did just get over some stomach issues which resulted in him NOT sleeping through the night for the past week, but we've talked about it and he's working on it. :)

"I thought this was MY bouncy seat!"

Moms are so embarassing

Jack contemplating his next move...

oh  yummm

Food!!!

Just as everyone told us would happen, we are obsessed with watching Jackson watch Max. He grins like an idiot and reaches for Max every time Max races by. Sometimes we will encourage Max to hold jack's hand, give him a kiss or say hi and you would have thought Jack won the lottery haha. When I feel like being an instigator, I lay Jack beside Max to cuddle and let him grab a fistful of hair and try to put it on his mouth. It's only fair- I have a feeling that Jack will put up with a lot from Max in the next several years!
omg Hi!

I always share Jackson's weekly pictures on facebook, but I don't think I've included them on the blog since 6 weeks.... so here we go!

Hello summer! Nice to see you : )

Our spring was busy with Justin's school year ending and the normal day to day activities of a 2 year old and a 4 month old. Max is crazy as ever, expressing his pleasure and displeasure loudly and boldly. He has so much energy and sunny days are the best because he can run around outside all day. Thankfully, he still loves settling down and reading, playing, baking and cuddling. And also wrestling, jumping and yelling "uh oh".

To Max's delight, his normally dirt filled construction zone for his trucks got flooded out a couple of weeks ago. We are talking about HOURS of digging, jumping, sitting, shoveling and sometimes laying in his own personal mud pit.

Of course we can't forget to mention the little bro! Jackson is 19 weeks old and such a delight.
I'll give an update on his exciting life and include his recent weekly pictures in our next post.

Fathers Day!
I usually take my Dad to an Orioles game each year for his Fathers Day present. Not only do we get to have fun watching the game, but what better gift than getting to hang out with me, right? ; )

We loved our seats!

And then came the rain! It didn't phase us : )

Obviously prepared. The Os ended up losing but we still had fun!

I decided to celebrate Fathers Day with Justin and the boys on Saturday since Sunday would be busy with church, Jackson's Baptism and the BBQ.

Saturday morning- Time to make breakfast for Daddy. Max listens carefully to the instructions as I promise him that the end result will be pancakes shaped as tools.

I know. Max was disappointed too.
He kept asking for a saw pancake and I kept trying to tell him that was what was in front of him!
At least they tasted fantastic!

Always ready to help...

Very cool blue trout made out of MD license plates.
You can't really see it in the pic- you'll have to visit to get the full effect : )

Anything you can do, I can do better.

 Fist Bump

Justin built an awesome sand pit in our backyard. Max was the assistant carpenter and still has to check the measurements once in awhile.

A helper I will be.

Max is quite the worker bee. He will help Justin do absolutely anything.. never tiring.
Enjoy:

Always helping Daddy... this day's project was repairing the shed.

Sometimes we have to observe from the porch steps when power tools are involved.
I like to try and get caught up in the excitement of it all.

Mowing the porch...covered in mud..typical day.

Always.

Once in a blue moon Max will help me, but these days its really Justin who gets all the assistance!

I'm not sure why this happened.
But he set up this scenario with such purpose that I'm sure he had a plan in mind.

What did Justin do before he had his helper?

Max is a very serious worker.

Again, not sure the purpose of this mess, but he worked VERY hard on it.

Waiting for instructions

Learning the correct way to use a shovel

Taking a break in the hostas

Uh oh- serious project alert! Safety goggles required.

Spectators

Justin sawing wood while Max saws the ground/twigs/anything he can find.

Nana's house is no exception. He has lots of jobs at Nana and Pop-Pop's as well!

Watering the plants. Or maybe watering Nana. Im sure either is acceptable :)

Entertainer for Jackson!

It's important to take breaks, especially if it involves a tent and snacks.

Pop-Pop likes to take breaks too.

awww Jackson's job is obviously being ADORABLE.

Someone has to mix the water.

Off to work the fields on the tractor..

Laundry day

Squeezing while drinking the juice, he's a professional.

Jackson watches most of these things very carefully- before we know it he will be toddling after Justin and Max wanting to help too. And I'll just lay in the hammock while all three boys do yard work. A girl can dream. : )
