Who remembers what hot sunshine feels like??

We left off with our June fun in the sun and soon it was Independence Day!!! Yes it's JANUARY but who doesn't love dreaming about sunshine in the middle of winter? :)

Time to party and eat crabs like good Americans

 Technique.

 Patriotism

4th of July parade, pouring rain, 2 toddlers and a baby, sounds fun! Let's go.

Jackson gets the trooper of the summer award!
He LOVED the parade and I dont even think he noticed that it was raining :)

Justin and Abby were both QUITE excited about the firetrucks :)

There is something magical about taking little kids to a good parade!
We absolutely loved it, rain and all :)

 The Crew

When it rains too hard to see... party in the trunk!

This kid danced and bopped for the entire parade. He was clearly each marching band's biggest fan.

Eventually it gets to the point that you are so wet that you don't even feel wet anymore.
Thats the best.

Garon never misses a parade!! :)

More partying!
Time to celebrate the summer bdays with more crabs yummmmmmm!

Beautiful Bday Girls :)

Look I found ice!

He doesn't look like he's plotting anything, does he?

July was also amazing because it was Grammy/Grandpa weekend for Max and Jack which means we got to have one-on-one time with this little snugabug :)

We went out to eat like real people and it was so delightful!

Max and Jack were having WAY more fun in Grammy World!!
Swimming with Auntie Meaghan....

Going out to eat like perfect little gentlemen... or just little gentlemen... ; )

And the best part... being outside!!

Later in July was an outdoor Church Service and Picnic at my Dad's church!

Max and I got to go by ourselves and we left the rest of the crew at home.
It's safe to say that Max enjoyed having all of the attention :)

July also marked the start of SUMMER DAY CAMP!!! Max looked forward to it for weeks but was nervous at drop off for many morning (as was his Mommy!). Thankfully his buddy Christian from school was in his group. Yay friends!!

So nervous :/

But he got the hang of it and loved it!

This tree was everything. If we could just have a tree like this to climb in our yard, life would be complete. And we'd have a lot of broken bones.

Jackson was a big fan of camp pick up :)

We are already thinking about camp for Max next year.... Crazy!!!

Upcoming blog posts: the rest of our summer adventures including BEACH WEEK, then Halloween cuteness and Christmas amazingneess.. stay tuned.

I went to Miami. Other things happened in June. But seriously, Miami was amazing!

June was amazing! I always love June because it's our anniversary month, the start of summer, the end of Justin's work year, and the being outsideness is in full swing. THIS YEAR was especially out of the WORLD for so many reasons- I went on a girls trip to MIAMI, Justin and I went away for beach wknd, Max went to his first summer camp!!!, Justin is home everyday with the kids which is the best thing in the world, Max had his first bowling experience, AND did I mention that I got to go to Miami for 4 days with no kids? As in, tanning, conversing, reading, eating, drinking, sleeping in, repeat. :)

Hey! Remember that time I went to M*I*A*M*I with these gorgeous gals?!
Time to celebrate Meaghan's upcoming nuptials :)

Just a little slice of heaven, no big deal.

Say hello to your friends :)

Dinner at The Raleigh.. omgoodness!

Per tradition, the bride-to-be has to smash a plate on the stairs!

Nailed it.

Random arm wrestling with another bachelorette.. because Miami. and Bachelorettes. :)

The next day was my favorite!!
SPA POOL DAY at the Mongolian!

This is what relaxed looks like.

Hello beautiful life

Basically models.

Then ROK BRGR happened. Last day yumminess in my tumminess!

Time to say goodbye :(
#neverforget #myheartwillgoon

Special shout out to my main man Justin who makes all the dreams come true!
He and the kids had a grand old time with out me and I'm not sure they even noticed that I was gone :)

The following weekend Sarah came to stay over and she never comes empty handed!
Abigail got to work right away filling the pool...

Justin and I left Max and Jack is her very capable and relaxed hands, dropped Abigail off at Grammys house and then headed to the BEACH for an early anniversary weekend!
Our family is THE BEST.

The beach house chalkboard fairy left us a little welcome message!

See those kids behind us? Not ours. I'm laughing the laugh of freedom.

After a relaxing/amazing/who cares what we do day on the beach, it was time to paint the town!

This drink was called Mermaid's Water. True story.
I have since found the recipe and will be having a mermaid party soon so that I can serve this drink. Stay tuned.

We were entertained by pics of Abigail loving Grammy's flower..

... and the boys loving their new pool!

You win some you lose some...

It was such a fabulous weekend together, made even sweeter by the fact that Justin's school year ended the following week!

Here is Nana's Little Banana on her last day at Nana's until Justin goes back to work in August. DADDY DAY CAMP IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!

This pic has nothing to do with anything except that it's Target and Abigail is cute and that is good enough to warrant inclusion in the blog.

Let the outside-ing begin!!

Crazy hair. Crazy kid. Baby eating mulch. Pretty much my life.

Jack in his natural state.

Who loves being outside? This girl.

Future Doctors Unite

Max got invited to go bowling for his friend Christian's bday!
It was so special because 1) Christian is his first real friend 2) Max had never been bowling before, and 3) there was a dinosaur tail and it really helped me. I mean Max.

He gets his perfect form from me. #obviouslyastrike

Beachmont Day Camp.. watch out!

Max (and I) were a little nervous on the first day but I'm so glad that we both stuck it out! What an amazing experience... the counselors were phenomenal, Max had swim lessons everyday, hiking, arts and crafts, games and games and games, more swimming, and no joke, he now knows more bible verses than I do. Or at least he has WAY better hand motions :)
Happy to be outside all day every day! #livinthedream

Meanwhile across town, this little babyboo is trying to turn into a toddler!

Gosh as I'm writing this post, i'm realizing just how much we did in June! Fathers Day was next :)

Happy Fathers Day to my Daddy!!
Our Fathers Day this year started our slow and simple... this is the good stuff. Running around in the back yard, naps on the hammock... obviously not staged.

When The Tickle Monsters Attack.
This is Justin asking me with his eyes "Are you going to come help me?" This answer was no. It's usually no. But I am happy to take a pic so we can remember this fun moment :) You are welcome.

"Hey Daddy watch this!"

Spoiler Alert- the clinching of his foot did not save Justin from the impact :)

It's not about the destination. It's about the ride.

Time for a Father's Day Pool Party!

The Snuggle is Real

Careful examination of the gifts is required.

Secret messages in a bottle for Daddy!

My fav :)

YUMMIES

Nana. RUN!

"Ok Garon, what's our plan?"

We do things seriously at our house.

Nope, standing in the corner with your dry towel does not exclude you from the water fight!

My heart! <3

Can't forget the Jack!

Over the river and through the woods to Great Gran's house we go!

The votes are in. They love summer.
