Max is 10 Weeks Old!

Everyone always says "they grow up so fast".. how true!!

Max is already 10 weeks old and has changed so much. He now weighs over 15lbs, has grown over 2 inches in length, loves to eat and currently sleeps 8-9 hrs each night (We know.. we're so lucky!) His personality is really coming out and he loves to smile and "talk" to his mommy and daddy. He is getting to be such a big boy! Justin and I are so glad that we decided to take a picture of him each week on his weekly "birthday". Enjoy!!

8 Week Birthday!

Max made another friend yesterday.. a cow that Nana gave him. Apparently she told him that cows say "Moo", but she neglected to explain that this particular cow also sing "Old McDonald's Farm" very loudly while moving its legs! Max was a little surprised...  : )

"Mommy.. what is it doing?!"

"Okay.. maybe we can be friends.."

"Oh I like you now.. let's dance!"

Max's Day Job

Besides missing me and Justin alllllll day, Max also has lots of fun with Nana!

Life with a Baby!

I just read a funny blog about parenting and they listed activities you only do when you become a parent. It got me thinking about how our life has changed in only 8 weeks and I made my own list!

Rachel's New Experiences since having Max:

- Getting to work before 6:45. This has never ever ever happened before in my life. It is no longer worth being late and staying a few minutes over at the end of the day when I could be spending that time with Max!

- Getting to work before 7:00

- Okay lets be honest.. getting to work before 7:15

- Choosing to buy clothes for another person over clothes for myself because tiny clothes are so much cuter!

- Cheering with Justin over a dirty diaper.. didn't seem weird at the time but looking back...

- Journaling every day. Now i have better things to write about.

- Taking 700 pictures of the same person within 7 weeks. No one is surprised by this.

- Tearing up because someone smiled at me

- Ignoring Pinterest and my Google Reader for 8 weeks

- Not fitting into my jeans that I've worn for YEARS

- In related news, not exercising for so many weeks in a row. Maybe I'll leave Max and go to the gym when he stops being so cute. That seems reasonable.

- Singing songs about someone please not spitting up on my work clothes

- Singing songs about Daddy coming home

- Singing songs about cute chubby bellies

- Thinking so much about Fathers Day

- Being excited about sleeping in until 4am!!

- Finally understanding a LITTLE bit what it might be like to take care of twins

- Loving Justin even more than I did before when he gets up in the middle of the night to check on Max

- Loving Justin even more than I did before. Period.

- Taking 30 minutes to prepare for a 6 minute Target trip

- Taking a 6 minute Target trip. In case you are wondering- its still lovely, even if you are only there for 6 minutes.

- Calling ourselves Mommy and Daddy.. its the best : )

We are so lucky to be home with Max during this gorgeous weather!!  Sunshine, open windows and the best baby in the world make for an awesome life. Sorry to brag ; )

Wow we are so lucky to be home with Max during this gorgeous weather! We had more visitors this week, and still more to come next week : ) Max feels very loved! Sadly I don't have a picture of my dear friends Katie and Teresa visiting Max.. I was so excited to see them that I forgot both times to take a picture.. sadness.

Max's First Bath and other Cuteness!

 We've been having way too much fun with Max! We were so excited to give him his first bath and we weren't sure how he'd react. He loved it : ) This fish washcloth is a great idea (thanks to my cousin Susan!) and kept him nice and warm. PS- Freshly bathed baby is the best smell ever!
