A Cozy Christmas at Home

Christmas seems like ages ago! Christmas Day was different this year because Sarah was sick and so my parents house was under quarantine. Instead of going over there in the morning and spending the day opening presents there, we were at home all day- just the 3 of us! Since the plans changed at the last minute, we didn't even have any food in the house for breakfast or Christmas dinner. We had a leisurely morning since Max didn't really know that presents were coming and that he could insist on opening them right away. I took the boys to Safeway to get some yumminess for Christmas dinner and then hit up Starbucks on the way home. After breakfast, Jack went down for a nap and it was finally time for present for Max!

Video of Max on Christmas morning!

That smile!

A telescope for our little explorer.

Time to put up the bird feeder that we got for Christmas the night before.
Max is ready to assist.

Sometimes a telescope is needed. To be on the look out for squirrels.

Where's Max?

Finally Jack woke up!
"What did I miss?!"

Time for Jack's big present! He's not too sure what to do about it...

You snooze you lose haha. Max helped him take off the paper!

Best day ever!!

Max pushing him "fast".

After lots of play time and lunch, the boys went down for afternoon naps and Justin and I got to exchange our stockings! Justin was nice enough to pose with my awesome fuzzy pink stocking ; )

Pregnant Christmas #3 for me!

We invited Garon over for Christmas dinner and everyone (except sicky Sarah)
dropped by to say hello and Merry Christmas!

We missed the traditional Christmas Day with my family but we decided to make the best of it and it ended up being nice to have such a relaxing day at home with nowhere to go! I'm sure next Christmas will go JUST as smoothly with 3 children : )

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Somehow it's already January 13! I don't know how that happened. 2015 started as a blur of sickness for everyone in our house, and I feel like I will never catch up on all of the sleep that I missed! Christmas was wonderful but different as the sickness epidemic started on Christmas Eve with my sister being very sick. So some of our Christmas traditions changed, and some were able to stay the same! Finally, its time to relive the Christmas Festivities, starting with Christmas Eve.

Every year the Christmas spectacular starts with Christmas Eve dinner and presents with Justin's Dad, Grandmother and the rest of the Harbin family.

All dressed up and ready to get the party started!

"First Christmas! Holla!"

At Ed's house, Max happily situates himself at the snack buffet and waits for further instructions..

Auntie Meaghan and Jackson!

Uncle Matt has been away for awhile but he didn't miss a beat.
The boys acted like he'd never left!

Guarding the presents/Waiting patiently as close to the tree as he was allowed...

Happy boy! and Pappy : )

"Can I touch these? How about now?"

Time for presents!

Pappy and his assistant.

Everyone had lots of help opening presents this year  ; )

Me and my little handsome! Someone loves their Mommy ; )

Family of 4.. soon to be 5!

Then it was time to head over to Pat's house to see the rest of the family and have yummy Christmas Eve dinner!

Exploring with Great Gran.

After dinner it was PJ and presents time. Jack was extremely satisfied with the wrapping paper.

It was a fun night, but more work than previous years, chasing after two mobile boys all evening. Well worth it, but a little exhausting. (I know, I know, next year we will have 3 children for all of our Christmas parties but we'l just wait to worry about how that will work on Dec 23, 2015.) Justin and I were happy relaxing on the couch at home (in our pjs!), boys sleeping upstairs, when Justin said that he wanted to go to the midnight Christmas Eve service at our church. I said oh wait I want to go! Of course Justin said yes you should go! So I got re-dressed and surprised my Dad at church at 11:30 pm : ) It was so worth it. I love the Christmas Eve service at our church, Bel Air United Methodist Church, and haven't been in years! A great end to a great Christmas Eve : )
