Probably since Max is our first child, a day hardly goes by that Justin and I don't say to each other.. "oh my gosh did you see what Max did?". Sometimes its something cute and adorable and shows how independent he is becoming- like getting a dish rag and cleaning up his dripped milk on the floor without any prompting, or gathering up his stuffed bear and a pile of books to sit at his little table and read by himself for awhile. Other times, its climbing on toys to reach the top of a dresser drawer and dumping out a container of thumb tacks all over the floor, or knocking jars of spices on the floor until the lid pops off and we have a large oregano confetti situation in the kitchen. It sounds like we let him run around unsupervised all day, but both these things happened when we were within feet of Max.. It just happens so fast! Can I get an "amen" from you parents of toddlers out there? : )
Despite me not feeling well this summer, Max's sense of humor or giggles are contagious and we still had lots of fun! He loves chasing Justin around the house, wrestling, getting tickled, singing songs with movements and dancing, and most recently just running squealing around the house until he finds the person he is looking for and running into their arms for a huge hug. Life doesnt get any better!
Lots of work to be done...
Most nights, if you couldn't find Justin, he was out on the pond fishing!
Hmmm...
Max's Aunt Sarah, the model.
Let's all take a moment and remember when I looked this good in a bikini before I got pregnant!
I love this picture. Max and his Nana.
"No, I did not put the sand in my mouth.."
Giving Mommy a workout.. chasing Max around
As Max got more brave, he just wanted to run straight into the waves...
And then out of them.. "no hand holding please"!
Pure joy!
Two peas in a pod..
Uncle Garon gets a special Max hug.. lucky duck!
Swimming with the dolphins
Sarah can make anything fun..
Garon graciously shared his coveted beach space with Max for a few moments.
I think he wanted to see the blow up whale that Aunt Sarah bought Max!
And this was just the beginning of vacation!!! More fun to come!
