HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX!

Max is two. I cant believe it! I feel like its a lie. This was just two years ago..

And this was just one year ago...

I am so thankful that I took weekly pics of Max during the first year.. and that we've taken hundreds more since then.. because as he gets older its harder to remember Baby Max!

This has been an eventful year for Max! Not only did he become a big brother right before his 2nd birthday, but he had an amazing summer with several trips to the beach, a great Christmas, and really mastered being a helper (whether its helping Daddy with tools and projects or helping to bake and cook in the kitchen). He is still a big big boy, just like the day he was born. He is a dare devil and loves to climb, jump, run and play.

We celebrated his birthday with just the grandparents and aunts/uncles since we knew we would be newly home with Jackson.

Before we partied, Jackson got to meet GG (Great-Grandmother)!

4 Generations :)

Me and my handsome bro

Jackson celebrated his brothers birthday by sleeping through the party

Good ol' Aunt Sarah got this for Max!

Ed was first to arrive so he got to hang out with Jackson for a bit

Pre-lunch snacking. Thats just how I roll.

Thank you to Grammy for cuddling with Jackson while the rest of us ate!

Our life

David had a cold the week Jackson was born so this was the first time Jackson met his Third-Pa :)

Max the Builder

:)

We practice the Happy Birthday song a lot so Max knew what was coming! Love that sweet face :)

Happiness

He blew them out on the first try. Professional.

Aunt Meaghans turn!

The party had to stop for awhile after the first present- a new truck from uncle Garon!

Max got excited and did some laps...

Cards that play music are the BEST!

Trucks are serious business.

We LOVE the new clothes for summer- courtesy of Great Gran! I'm dreaming of days in the sunshine : )

Max got so many great gifts- he's been so busy!

Big boy underwear.. uh oh. My face says it all lol...

Max has never seen Lincoln Logs before but he could tell it was something he would love! And he does- Thanks Third-pa : )

Me and my baby

I know.. its too much! Be still my heart

Everyone wants to play

Cuteness overload- Max got an apron with his name on it for all of his work in the kitchen.

Me and my other baby : )

Serving cookies with Nana. While Mickey supervises.

As the party draws to a close, Jackson is still sleeping like a perfect little baby and the rest of us are exhausted haha. Thank you to everyone who came and made the afternoon so special for Max! He is so loved : )

After party relaxation: Max shows his gratitude to Jackson for not stealing the spotlight by showing him a teething toy.

Aunt Sarah visits!

Jackson is spoiling us with his eating and sleeping- he is a great baby so far and Max is being a great big brother. Of course there is nothing "easy" about getting up during the night to feed a baby, even if its less times per night than I had anticipated, but our first week home was made a little easier by the help of my sister Sarah and my parents. Sarah flew home for 7 days and was such a great auntie to both Max and Jackson!

I absolutely love my aunts- growing up they were always such great playmates... playing games and entertaining us when everyone else got tired, taking us on special trips, and always loving on us. They they turned into great role models we could always talk to and now they are great friends. My relationship with my Godmother Aunt Diane has always been extra special, so I'm so happy to see Max already have that with my sister Sarah. She ran her self ragged keeping Max entertained, laughing, and playing. She would stay up late snuggling Jackson and then get up with Max in the morning. On top of that she, along with my parents, provided us with most of the meals during the week which was incredible. Max is sure going to miss his playmate! (And we will miss the extra set of hands!) THANKS SARAH! Enjoy the pics : )

Hugs and Kisses for Aunt Sarah when she walks in the door! So much better than facetime....

Aunt Sarah meets Jackson when he is 2 days old : )

The SnuggaBunny Bouncer is amazing. Apparently all ages love it : )

Kisses from big brother

Showing Jackson his flashcards...

After the greetings were over... the shenanigans with Aunt Sarah began...

What a good auntie... she'll let Max do anything to her!

Making us dinner

Always found time for Jackson too!

Max introduced Aunt Sarah to his morning routine of puffs and Bob the Builder

She was good at multitasking too : )
So much silliness... wherever they were in the house you could hear lots of noise and lots of giggling!

Mom and Dad provided so many meals for us. I think sometimes they just wanted a reason to come snuggle with Jackson and say hi to Max : )

Jackson got to meet someone else very special this week- Uncle Garon!

We ended the week with a couple days of sunshine. Mom, Sarah, Max, Jackson and I ventured out for Jackson's first walk. I made it put the hill and back with Jackson while the rest of the fun people continued on to the playground with Max.

Even though Aunt Sarah was such a big help, Justin and I still had got to have good quality time with our babies : )

Justin's life now...

Just hangin with my boys

Love him.

Speaking of my awesome aunts, Aunt Diane and Aunt Jan brought Grandma over to meet Baby Jackson!

Haha.. love Jackson's face : )

Such a great pic!

Coming next.. Max turns TWO! And Jackson's 2 week pic from today : )
