Best first year ever!

It's been a year! I remember at the end of my pregnancy with Jack, I would worry that this new baby might mess with our perfect family of 3, and now Jackson is a part of our family and I can't imagine our family without him. I expect that will happen with Baby Harbinette in May as well : )

A year ago this morning it was snowing and snowing, and we were snug inside GBMC waiting for Jack to be born. Thankfully, we had made the smart decision to stay at the closest hotel to GBMC (which had an underground garage) the night before. After dropping off Max at my Moms, and having a yummy dinner with Sandy and David, we got our last full nights sleep for awhile! We woke early to a couple feet of snow and we were able to navigate the completely empty streets (except for a snow plow) and make it the block to GBMC in time for my induction bright and early.

And now you get to enjoy a million wonderful pics of our life so far with the amazing Jackson Eugene!! You are welcome  :)

Ready to roll!

Waiting...

Max was a big baby (9 lbs 13 oz) so our doctor was joking about whether this one would beat his brother. And he did! After one push, Jackson was born at 10 lbs 8 oz and cute as could be! Our doctor and all the nurses were astonished and laughing, it was quite fun : )

We spent Valentines Day snuggling our new little nugget!

Max wasn't too sure...

Our first of many successful pictures as a family of 4. Ha!
I do love that it documents Max's finger incident and ER trip from a few days prior.

But later at home he showed Jackson his Elmo cards and they bonded.

I can't wait to see all three of them under this thing soon lol

So many hours on the couch getting baby snuggles!

You gotta love maternity and paternity leave! Justin was home the first four weeks with me and we headed to the beach with my parents in March to get out of the house. Really we just wanted the wonderful live in help from my parents- thanks guys!! : )

I couldn't wait to match them and I still love it. I love Max's hand on Jacksons head here ; )

Figuring out how to be a Mommy to two now instead of one!

We fight over who gets to snuggle the babies : )

My turn!

We had to bundle up and head to the beach whenever the sun popped out. Max dug in the sand with his Nana and Pop-Pop and tricked his Daddy into getting wet in the ocean, and I kept Jackson warm.

Mommy Love.

Back to normal life, one of Jackson's next big outings was to the Hunt Cup!

Maxs pouty face... if you were there I'm sure you remember this!

We celebrated Jackson's Baptism and his first Father's Day with his Daddy with a bbq at our house after church. Lots of fun and lots of cute pics : )

Just hangin out on his blanket from Aunt Meaghan!

"Mooooom!"

This must be how he fit in my belly : )

First real food. Jack has pickier taste than Max did but he's still a voracious eater.
He cries when the food is gone, just like his big brother always did!

First time in the pool!

He started his love of books early. He is currently obsessed with reading books. He yells/screams while shoving a book at us until we read it over and over again.  And then read it again please.

Still loving the cloth diapers : )

Off to the beach for day after day of sun and fun! My fav place to be!

We love our helpers!

Jump the wave!

It takes a village! Especially to really enjoy a day on the beach with multiple little children ; )

Life : )

Love my family. Unbeknownst to the rest of us,
Sweet Max was feeding Grandma his pretzels for most of the pictures : )

Jack's first sickness... lots of snuggles

There are new adventures at Nana's house everyday!

Surprise!

Jack LOVES Max. Obviously.

Jack is always ready to lend a hand on Max's next project.

Go Ravens! See you next year : )

Just like Daddy

Jack and his buddy Raggedy Andy. He loves eyes...

Little Heartbreaker.

Jackson had a great first birthday! Max woke him with a rambunctious "Happy Birthday" and then he got to spend the day with me and Max.

He got to hang out with his favorite friend Elmo...

...And read LOTS of books... one of his favorite activities!

Big Boy : )

Nana and Pop-Pop came over after nap time to give Jack his bday present.
Max was thrilled because he had been waiting "patiently" all day to "help Jackson open his presents"!

Time for presents from Mommy and Daddy!

Jack is uninterested in his big gift while Nana tries to restrain Max ; )

Flying frogs!

My little handsome : )

Time for birthday cake!

Everyone loves the birthday song.

"Hmmm this looks good!"

"Nope! Dont like it."

"At least its good for squishing..."

"Okay Daddy, you can clean my tray now"

THE END.
We will see what adventures tomorrow brings!
