Abigail- Welcome to our crazy family!

Abigail will be two weeks old tomorrow- someone tell me how to make time stand still! She is such a little snugglebug : ) We had an interesting first week home, with Abigail having to be re-admitted to the hospital for 24 hours for high bilirubin levels. When she was 5 days old, she received phototherapy over night and most of the next day- from lights above her and a light blanket that she had to lay on at all times. I stayed with her in the hospital, and it was hard not being able to pick her up and snuggle her, but thankfully after a night of sleeping under the lights, she improved and we got to go home! It has been nicely uneventful since then, with lots of baby snuggles and attention from her big brothers.

Max and Jack have been very interested in Abigail since the moment they met her! Justin and I couldn't wait to bring her home from the hospital and introduce her to her brothers.

Getting all packed up and ready to leave the hospital!

The Girls

Jack was napping when we got home, so Max got to meet Abigail first!

Video of Max meeting Abigail:

Abigail gets lots of kisses : )

Max was happy to have Daddy home- project time!
They put together our amazing double stroller while we waited for Jackson to wake up.

Finally, Jack woke up and came downstairs to find that his life had changed forever haha! It's hard to believe Jack is a big brother. He's still my baby boy... except when I got home from the hospital after holding Abigail for two days, he looked HUGE to me and like such a little man!

Jack is VERY interested in her face- constantly pointing out her eyes, mouth, hair etc.
We are trying to teach him to be gentle about it ; )

Meanwhile on the other side of the room.....

Our Family!

Okay enough posing for pictures, back to play time!

If you have little boys, I'm sure you understand that clothes can be so restrictive at times...

It's so nice having visitors- lots of people to snuggle Abigail!

 "Look, this is easy.."

"But this is easier!"

Nana Snuggles

Since then, we've just been playing with the boys, and taking pics of Abigail's cute facial expressions. It's a pretty good life.

Max likes to line up soft toys for Abigail to "play with". She always has LOTS of choices!

The good life.

Hi everyone : )

It Takes A Village

On Saturday as Justin and I were sitting in the hospital, our boys were also up early, ready to party with Aunt Sarah! We were so grateful that she stayed at our house with the boys so they could stay in their routine and it was one less thing we had to think about while we waited for Baby Abigail to arrive. Not only did we know they were being taken care of, but Aunt Sarah always makes it interesting so we knew they were having a blast!

Morning snuggles!

All handsome and ready for Garons 25th Birthday Party!

The Birthday Boy!

Dirt Cake. Every Year. Yummmmm! Max made sure he was front and center for the action.

Max loves his Great Aunt Jan!

Sarah sent me this picture while we were in the hospital and said it was a gift for Jack. It really looked like a real dog to me. Justin assured me that it looked fake, and I decided no one would do that to us at this stage of our lives lol.

There is never a dull moment with Aunt Sarah.
There's always time to squeeze in a trip to the playground or to get a yummy snack!

Who knew a $14 sprinkler would inspire so much fun? Hours of entertainment!

This kid is so unique. and wonderful. : )

Thanks to the beautiful weather all weekend, Max got a lot of yard work done.

Serious projects.

"Well Aunt Sarah surely isn't going to clean the deck... so I guess that's my job now.."

After we were home from the hospital, Max and Jack got to go to the zoo, thanks to Nana, Pop-Pop and Aunt Sarah! Justin and I enjoyed a morning alone with Abigail : )

Best Friends.

 "Come on Aunt Sarah, faster!"

Just hangin out with the peacocks. No big deal.

There is always something to explore.

"Wait Friend, come back!!"

"Come on Nana, this looks fun!"

"Wheeeee! I was right!"

Pop-Pop spots Max the climber.

What would we do without family?! We are so lucky/blessed/thankful!
