Abigail Ells Harbin

In case you've missed our calls, texts and facebook posts.. our baby girl is here!! : ) We are so in love and I'm still astonished that she's actually a girl. But she is! And a darn cute one.

My doctor, who is wonderful and amazing and has now delivered ALL 3 of our children, thought that Abigail would be big like her brothers and so it was decided that I would be induced on Saturday, May 2. It was exciting to have an "end date" for the pregnancy, but it was bittersweet, as we knew it would mean missing my brother Garon's big day. Saturday was the day of his big 25th Birthday Party, which he had been looking forward to for years! So we broke the news to Garon and got excited to meet our baby girl!

My sister Sarah flew in for Garon's birthday party and so she stayed with Max and Jack while we went to the hospital. THANK YOU TO SARAH! She kept them so happy and entertained and we didnt worry for one second which was so wonderful. Their adventures with Sarah while we were away deserve their own blog post... coming soon. : ) Just like when Jackson was born, we said goodbye to Max (and Jack this time), and met Sandy and David for a yummy dinner at a steakhouse. They surprised us earlier in the week by getting us a hotel room right by GBMC so that we could have one last good night's sleep and not have to get up so early to make the drive from Bel Air to Towson. I know, our family is the B.E.S.T. It was so wonderful and stress free and just what we needed.

We got up super early and were ready to go. For the record, I don't remember my belly ever looking like this! I'm not sure if it happened that day, it was a weird angle or if I just never noticed the torpedo shape before. Needless to say, it was time for this girl to be born!

We checked in bright and early at 630am. yikes.

It was a looong day of waiting, some naps, a movie, 2 popsicles, and then some more waiting.

Finally our sweet Abigail was born at 5:50pm! Easy Peasy! Everyone was waiting to see if she would be bigger than her brothers (Max 9 lb 13 oz, Jack 10 lb 8oz), and she matched Max's weight on the dot. She was 9 lb 13 oz, 21.5 inches long and beautiful! Abigail's middle name, Ells, is from my paternal grandfather who passed away when my Dad was 12. His name was Ellsworth, but everyone called him Ells. : )

Abigail got lots of snuggles with Mommy, and then finally it was time to meet her Daddy!

The hand-off:

"Oh hi Daddy!"

Garon's party was a success and the guests had left. Sarah was waiting for the news that Abigail was born, and then rushed over to the hospital while it was still visting hours!

Then it was time for dinner and sleep!!

The next day, Abigail got to meet ALL of her grandparents and Aunt Meaghan. She got lots of snuggles : )

 Waiting for the family!

Pappy was the first one to say Hi to Abigail!

Then Auntie Meaghan! They were clearly happy to meet each other : )

Grammy and Grandpa waited patiently and it was finally their turn for baby snuggles!

I think we have this exact picture from when Max and Jack were born! : )

After lunch, the rest of the family arrived to meet the famous Abigail.

Nana says 'Give me that baby!"  : )

Aww now she can finally get out all of the little girl stuff she has been saving since Sarah and I were born : )

Uncle Garon gets to meet his niece!

Proud Uncle!

Justin went home that afternoon to relieve Aunt Sarah and to spend some time with Max and Jackson. I had no choice but to relax in the bed and take pictures of Abigail all night.

She finally opened her eyes to say hello : )

Tell me something better than newborn baby snuggles. You can't.

Mommy and Baby Girl- together at last!

Abigail had some blood sugar issues, as big babies sometimes do, so she wasn't able to get a bath until the second day. The nurses didn't want to stress her body anymore than they had to. She finally got a bath and came back in this cute hat from the nursery... all ready to start snuggling again!

Wearing pink.. just because she can : )
