Our first days with Max

Our stay in the hospital is kind of a blur to us and its hard for us to remember what happened which day, but we do remember:
- constantly telling each other that we can't believe how cute Max is!
- lots of baby snuggles
- being up in the middle of the night
- Justin changing all of the diapers
- the first time Max had the hiccups
- Rachel not sleeping at all the first night because she would just listen to Max's baby sounds
- swaddling Max ALL the time.. he loved it
- lots of time spent just staring at Max : )

We woke up on Saturday, so excited that it was time to take Max HOME : ) We were up and ready to go before the nursing staff.. and we waited around for our discharge instructions for awhile.



Max had his last check up by the doctor and then it was time for his going home outfit..

Everyone meet the love of our lives- Max!

Thursday was a great day! We finally got to meet our Maxwell on Feb 23rd at 5:13pm.. and we were surprised at how big he was : ) 9 lbs 13 oz.. we love our big boy! He is so healthy and awesome and the cutest thing you will probably ever see. Along the way we called him our little nugget, Junior and Diggory (thanks to my sister).. but we've known for awhile that his name would be Maxwell. His middle name is Lawson, and comes from a great man., my Pop (John Lawson)! We both looove the name Lawson and I know my Pop would be honored and have loved that we used it for Max.

Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the hospital.. I meant to post them sooner but Max is so darn cute that I don't ever want to put him down, so we just snuggle instead of posting pictures on a silly blog. : )

Here we are waiting to be admitted to GBMC at 8 am on Thursday morning... just a LITTLE bit of excitement..

After a day that went by pretty quickly thanks to my awesome hubby and the wonderful invention of the epidural .. Baby Max was born 9 hrs later!

His life started with some good mommy snuggle time.. still a fav!

Waiting for Baby Harbin- The Nursery!

Justin and I are anxiously waiting each day to meet our little guy! The nursery is ready and we wanted to share it with you! Thanks to my wonderful and talented friend Katie Wilson for helping design the nursery and spending HOURS at my house helping me get it ready- we know he will LOVE it.. : )

We found these great "Be Happy, Be Kind, Be Curious, Be Smart" prints on Etsy. The crib skirt was made by my awesome Aunt Diane and the bunting flags (and stenciling work) were done by Katie!
