Christmas Morning with Max!

Our flashback to Christmas continues... Christmas morning with Max was so fun! Last year he was semi interested in his presents but this year he knew what to do and was excited about it!

Christmas morning last year:

This Christmas Max woke up his normal time around 730, even though we had a late Christmas Eve. Max had no idea what was about to happen but he was excited, probably because we came into his room together, grinning and clapping like idiots, yelling Merry Christmas! haha...

We headed downstairs around 8 and the fun began! We only got Max a few special things because we picked things we knew he would love and would want to play with right away.
First it was time for stockings!

Max's stocking held a flashlight, a head lamp and goldfish.. heaven on earth.

His big gift was wrapped in the corner and Max wasted no time opening it and getting to work. It was a big tool bench (re-purposed from one of my best friends Teresa and her kids- thank you!). Max's obsession with tools and wanting to use them like his Daddy has been going on for MONTHS so we couldnt wait for him to open this gift!

So much work to do.. so early in the morning....  : )

Once we tore him away from the tool bench, he opened his first little train set which was also a hit!
Justin saw this at Ikea- what a great deal. I think Justin likes it as much as Max haha....

My Boys : )

"No Daddy, let me show you..."

 I love this shot...

Next Christmas morning will be crazy with a 10 month old and an almost 3 year old! Cant wait : )
