Choo Choo

Max's first trip to the B&O Railroad Museum was a little over a year ago when we had some pictures taken to commemorate his first birthday. Boy was this trip different! Our little nugget at the time just smiled and toddled around without much interest in the trains.

THIS year, Justin found out that Max's good friend Thomas the Tank Engine would be visiting the B&O this weekend so we HAD to go say Hi!

Max clearly did not remember being here before and had no idea what to expect..

"I want a snack... WAIT.. is that a train?!?"

Max was excited by these little toy trains... had no idea what was to come lol.

We found a picture of Thomas.. "Ooohhhh"

Shut the front door. It's Sir Topham Hat!
If you don't know who that is, I don't even know where to start.

I have no pictures of Sir Topham Hat because Max's astonished face was waaaay cuter! : )

Playing in a train. Pure joy.

Max was in heaven.

"Mommy, I don't know why you are laughing. This is so serious."

So many knobs to turn and so little time.

Finally we headed outside... time to find Thomas!

So many fun things to try as we waited for our turn to ride the train.

Its our turn to ride Thomas! Max was a dreamboat while we waited in line. Yes we had some help from some chewy snacks, but considering the circumstances, the crowds of people and the wait time we were thrilled with how he did : )

OMG. No words.

Oh to be this excited about something as simple as a train. Love him!

This looks like a good seat Mom!

Yep.

He had much to say about the whole thing!

More waiting until everyone boarded!

All aboard! Here we go!

After the train ride, we exited quickly and found ourselves right beside Thomas! aaaahhhh!

This kid is so happy.

Favorite : )

The museum is closing and Max can't tear himself away.
 Just have to touch everything....one..more..time...

Making friends. Clearly we are still working on this haha...

Max requested that Daddy build one of these in the backyard.

So fun : )

Unfortunately, despite the begging of many children, they would not stay open all night and so eventually it was time to go. It's so hard to understand! : (

A special thank you to Aunt Meaghan for keeping Jackson all afternoon so we could give Max our undivided attention! We love you!

  1. How fun! Does Max have the Thomas train table and trains at home? Alex and Chris used to have all of that. So fun!
