Spring Breaaaaaaaak!

I've already been back at work for two weeks.. time flies! I loved my time at home with the boys, especially watching Max learn how to be a big brother. He often reaches for Jackson and wants to hold him or have Jackson sit on his lap.

But be ready, the moment ends quite suddenly and its time to push Jackson away and move onto the next activity!

I also learned a lot about being Mommy to two boys instead of one. Here we are on one of our many walks, just the three of us : ) I'm pretty sure I burned more calories getting everyone ready and out the door than actually on the walk. Max is obviously not pleased about the pause in our walk for the photo op.

Jackson rarely gets to play on his playmate by himself. On this particular day Max decided that Mr. Bear would like to join the festivities as well.

Then Max and Jackson were off to Nana's. I visited at lunch to find that Jackson had learned how to suck his thumb.. Nana is amazing!

Taking notes from Nana's multi-tasking skills... snuggling Jackson while Max works in the garden!

We have to make up for all the missed time during the day with lots and lots of snuggles.

Finally the horribleness of the cold and dreary weather came to an end.. at least for a bit!
Max gathered all his important belongings into his Bob the Builder backpack and ventured out into the wonderland that is our backyard. Someone is going to have to break it to him that his Daddy is going to fill this garden with plants soon and it will be off limits to his trucks. Not it.

Last week was Justin's spring break. He kicked off the festivities by packing us all up for a visit to his Grandma who had yet to meet Jackson! Yes Max is dressed as a construction worker. You never know when there will be work to do.

Then came 10 days of Justin not having to go to work- hooray! Thankfully it coincided with great weather for the most part. Nana watched Jackson for a couple of days so Justin and Max could have uninterrupted adventures.

"Hallelujah!" -Max

Daddy's in charge! FREEDOM!

"I forgot how wonderful outside is!"

So happy. Truly Justin's son!

Eden Mill exploration.

Jackson was happy to have Nana's undivided attention. He got to meet Max's old friend Andy : )

Max and his buddy two years ago:

In addition to spending 8 hours a day outside with Daddy "helping" in the garden, plowing the lawn with his trucks, making sure the hose worked, digging various holes, and covering himself from head to toe with dirt, Max also got to make his first s'more!

It was serious work. No smiles until he was completely finished it several minutes later.

Amazing

Ten minutes later: "Still working on it. Dont judge me."

Rainy day fun- best expressed via video:

All of the Daddy and Max adventures gave me plenty of time for Jackson snuggles when I got home from work everyday.

"Dear Jesus, Thank you for Mommy."

Easter Pics coming next!
