BEEEEEEEEACH WEEK!! (Part 1 of several installments I'm sure)

I've always lived for beach week in Bethany each summer with my family. It looks a lot different than it used to look. Hours upon hours of tanning, reading and relaxing has turned into hours upon hours of playing, carrying child necessities, feeding, playing some more, and supervising. Moments of tanning, reading and relaxing are thrown in every once in awhile thanks to family. And I personally think there is a whole lot more laughing and cuteness now. : )

So its a VERY different experience but I still LOVE it. The beach is a whole new world when you take a two year old who is enthralled with everything- risking his life in the surf, digging with his trucks and shovels, eating treats, and picking out new toys (thanks to Aunt Sarah).

Max got to head to the beach early this year and spend a few days with his Nana while Justin and I finished up the work week. Always a helper, Max and I packed together the night before he was to leave.

We discussed the whole time that Nana was coming to pick him up TOMORROW. "Ok Mommy"

Tomorrow means not right now: Heartbreak. It's so hard to wait!

The day has come! Let's wait for Nana outside : )

Taggy Blanket and Max= Friends Forever

BYYYEEE : )

We got lots of Jackson play time- no complaints here!

Justin had time to finally pick his garden after not going out there for two days.
Oops- lots of huge zucchinis!

Back at Nana's Beach Camp, Max clearly missed us.

Cutting out watermelon hearts

There are always projects to work on...

It's good to find time to relax.

Snack Time. Favorite Time.

Aunt Jan and Aunt Diane had a special visitor at their new beach condo!

Justin and I packed up our life and headed to the beach. Ready to party yaaaay!!

Rainy first days kept us from the beach but we ran out to the pool at the first drop of sunshine (or non-rain!) We were the only one there for awhile- surprise haha.

Make Your Own Fun- Dragging around the bag of pool toys while giggling

Max is becoming quite the swimmer. There is a lot of kicking and talk of Nemo and Dory.

"OOOoo...My shorts are so stylish"

Jumping to Daddy, as his new friends watch with bated breath.

Sharing is caring.

The adventure continued as Sarah, Garon and Dad joined us!
Next installment coming soon... must go get ready for annual bday dinner for Sarah- crabs and family!
